According to the Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical public relations and international affairs, Amin Malek Zadeh mentioned the program to increase the production capacity of the company in the year named "production, supports and the removal of barriers" and said: because of some problems in the Poy unit, two of the eight lines of this unit was not in service and in August 2021, line seven, an annual production capacity of 8,000 tons of products, will be in operation.
The head of the Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical company announced that the second production line with a similar capacity of eight thousand tons is ready for operation in September of this year. He clarified: with the operating of these two projects, the production capacity of Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company will be increased to a total of about 16,000 tons per year.
He stated that these two production lines had remained unused since 2004 and specified: with the follow-
up of the company's CEO and the supply of parts and accessories, these two lines are now ready to produce the product.
He stated that the German company Barmag as a supplier of parts and Noyvallesina of Italy as a licensor in 2004, refused to launch and complete the delivery of these two production lines because of sanctions. He said: in the current situation, with the help of specialists and experts of the company and with the maximum supply of goods and equipment from Iranian manufacturers and knowledge-based companies, these two lines will be ready for operation after about seventeen years of production stoppage.
Malekzadeh also announced the plans that launch and operate the mechanized packaging unit of Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company this year. He noted that the launch of this unit provides packaging and supply of higher quality products to domestic and foreign customers.
Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company (STPC) is the largest producer of the most important and strategic products of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA) in the country. This company, as the largest and only producer of Polyethylene Terephthalate chain products in the petrochemical industry of the country, has an annual production capacity of more than 1,587,000 tons of various products, including various grades of PET.
